Well, I've been away for a while because of school. But I hope that next week when I write I'll be able to say that I am a Ph.D. candidate instead of simply a doctoral student. I took my preliminary exams and must defend them on Monday. Also, I adopted my mom's cat, Nemo, and am adjusting to life with a needy boy. I plan to write more often again if I can keep the cat off the keyboard!
