We got to meet the whole group involved here in this 2-week program and it was ok. The people are nice, but they served us "fish cake" which was totally disgusting and makes me want to vomit to remember. But I was a good sport at the time and ate as much of it as I could, swallowing bites whole and washing it down with some coke. It was this round, tall regular looking cake made with bread of some sort, eggs, dill, salmon, shrimp, and mayo for icing. Sounds yummy, huh? Meanwhile the lucky vegetarians got a beautiful moz. and tomato basil sandwich. I was outraged. I need to become vegetarian to avoid awful food, I think. But boy, those Swedes gobbled down that fish cake like it was the best thing on the earth. Gross.
Well, off to bed soon.
on another note, I see that Miranda has had her baby and I want to say that congrats if you're reading! I can't wait to see you guys.
And happy Mother's Day to mom and Susie. I love and miss you all!

Haha, fish cake! No joke, I have made that before. Pumpernickel bread, smoked salmon, cream cheese "icing" and caviar garnish. I liked it though.
I'm having fun reading your blog so far! Miss you!
we miss you, b! the weather is cloudy and cold here so probably much like what you're experiencing. i hope you're taking lots of pictures. at the library, i looked at a book on sweden. it seems they mostly eat herring. blech. i've found vegetarians usually get the best options anywhere. worst case scenario, it's a cheese sandwich! take care. i'll be reading along with you.
