Another mini-vacation

B and I are headed to WV for my dad's birthday and then to Asheville for a couple days R&R. Though some might suspect that I'm running to N.C. to hide my head in shame because of the news about Edwards, it is not so. I am sorry for what coming out about his affair will mean for his political future, but I love him nonetheless. Would that it were me he didn't love, but slept with! 

Of course, there are already finger waggers and nay-sayers going on about how he let us all down. (Really?!, cause last time I checked there weren't even that many people who favored him.) Ridiculous. If people didn't have such rigid, unrealistic notions about sexual morality this wouldn't even be an issue. Of course, it is too bad he lied about it up until now, but really, who's going to throw the first stone on that score? At least he's being up front about it now. I just wonder what made him decide to fess up now?
